Prayer for The Elderly

Daily Prayer

Dear Lord,

Today, I pray for the elderly who have cared for, loved and raised a family throughout their meaningful lives. Although I hear a lot of the elderly say to me that they feel they have not fulfilled what the Lord had planned for them. I say to them that they have this feeling of incompleteness for no one truly appreciates all they have done in their lives. Long are forgotten the ball games, school activities, church functions, education of not only their children but of all children who know them. Gone are the memories of their small children as they have grown into adults with children of their own. It is with such pride that I talk to them and tell them that their lives have not been incomplete for the Lords plan is always completed, and if the Lord had a plan for them, then it is obvious that they have completed the Lords tasks when he comes to take them home on the wings of his Blessed Angels sent from God almighty.

Dear lord, I pray that you will care for these beautiful people and welcome them into your kingdom when it is time for them to return to your home.
